TaxCuts1's 2011 Property Tax Petition and Appeal Process
DON'T LET THE CLOCK RUN OUT ON YOU!
A TaxCuts1 petition is your best bet to cut your property taxes! The filing deadline for tax year 2011 Value Adjustment Board petitions for most SW Florida's counties expires in mid-September 2011. Unless a petition is timely filed (25 days from the TRIM Notice mailing date), an owner will typically lose the ability to challenge tax year 2011 values. Values were obtainable on July 1, 2011 when county Property Appraisers submitted their 2011 tax roll and values to the Dept. of Revenue. Lee County finally posted its 2011 values on www.leepa.org on August 19, 2011 and most 2011 county values can now be seen on the various property appraiser websites (see our links page for those website addresses).
